About our Cottage

Lilac Cottage is a quaint white-painted 18th century cottage and sits in a small terrace adjacent to The Cottage Inn, renowned for its good food, welcoming atmosphere and family friendly large beer garden.

Just a ten minute drive from the A1,  Lilac Cottage is also on the X18 Alnwick to Seahouses bus route.

Dunstan is a quiet village set in the Northumberland Coast Natural Landscape, less than a mile from the picturesque fishing port of Craster, famous world-wide for its oak smoked kippers.

It’s positioned mid way along this stunning 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline, with its castles, rocky coves and huge sandy beaches, often virtually deserted.

The atmospheric ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, the golden sands of Embleton Bay and historic Craster village are all within easy reach on the excellent network of local footpaths.
